This aimed to investigate characters Thailand focused on the H. rhodocheila group related species. Fourteen accessions belonging 10 species were studied compared. Epidermal peels taken upper lower surfaces leaves observed under a light microscope. stomata all distributed only epidermis, where they hypostomatic anomocytic. cell density showed significant differences between two surface sides. size is significantly different among samples. highest index was presented rostrata lowest (red). There no gap its closely It indicated that are shared genus has tentatively separated other based anatomical characteristics.

Multiple factors contribute to reproductive isolation between two co-existing Habenaria species (Orchidaceae)

Reproductive isolation is a key feature that forms barriers to gene flow between distinct plants. In orchids, prezygotic reproductive isolation has been considered to be strong, because their associations with highly specific pollinators. In this study, the reproductive ecology and reproductive isolation of two sympatric Habenaria species, H. davidii and H. fordii, was investigated by floral ph...

Systematic Significance of Leaf Epidermal Features in Holcoglossum (Orchidaceae)

Determining the generic delimitations within Aeridinae has been a significant issue in the taxonomy of Orchidaceae, and Holcoglossum is a typical case. We investigated the phylogenetic utility of the morphological traits of leaf epidermis in the taxonomy of Holcoglossum s.l. by using light and scanning electron microscopy to analyze 38 samples representing 12 species of Holcoglossum, with five ...
